Getting to Summergrass
is Easy!
The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM) is located at 2040 N. Santa Fe Avenue in Vista CA 92083, in San Diego's North County, between I-5 and I-15, and between CA-76 and CA-78.

Do you need Public Transportation to get to Summergrass?

Metropolitan Transit System offers an online Route Planner (click here)  It covers buses, trolley, coaster train, etc.  Type in "Antique Gas-Steam Engines" as your destination and it will give you information on a bus stop that is only 0.1 miles to the Museum entrance.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From the north, on I- 5:  Exit I-5 onto CA-76 East.  At approx. 7 miles, turn Right onto N. Santa Fe Ave.  At 2.2 miles, turn right to enter AGSEM, on Museum Way (at the signal).

From the north, on I-15Exit I-15 onto CA-76 West toward Oceanside.  At approx. 10-1/2 miles, turn Left onto N. Santa Fe Ave.  At 2.2 miles, turn right to enter AGSEM, on Museum Way (at the signal).

From the south, on I-5Exit I-5 onto CA-78 East.  Exit at Melrose Dr. and turn Left.  Go to dead end & turn Right on N. Santa Fe Ave.  At 1 mile, turn Right to enter AGSEM, on Museum Way (at signal).

From the south, on I-15:  Exit I-15 onto CA-78 West.  Exit CA-78 onto Escondido Ave. in Vista and turn Right.  Turn Left onto S. Santa Fe Ave. (3rd stoplight).  Go about 4 miles; turn Left at Museum Way (at signal) to enter AGSEM.

(Note: AGSEM is on the corner of N. Santa Fe Avenue & Museum Way (signal).  Look for the museum's antique wagon and Guajome Park Academy (school) on the corner.  Turn onto Museum Way and drive past the school - the Summergrass Bluegrass Music Festival is held on the museum grounds at the end of Museum Way.)

Hot Tip: Arrival time. Try to avoid arriving on Weds, Thurs, or Fridays between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm - that's when school lets out at the Guajome Park Academy and traffic gets very busy while parents are picking up their kids).  Remember - gates open on Friday at 8 am so you can come early and get a good spot by the stage. There's lots to see and do, even before the show starts at 3 pm Friday!

PET POLICY: Sorry, No Pets Are Allowed in the Festival Audience Area. (Campers may have pets on leash in the campground.) Daily Visitors are NOT allowed to bring pets to the festival as here is no suitable place for non-campers to leave pets. The day parking area is unshaded so NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE LEFT IN A VEHICLE IN DAY PARKING. Please, for the safety and health of your pet, do not bring it to the festival.

Please visit our SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES page for great ways  you or your business can support Summergrass!  Whether your focus is to support Kids, the local Military, the Artists, or the Festival in General there's a way to be involved.  Whether you can afford a small donation or a large sponsorship - we need you.  Summergrass is a non-profit entity and your donations may be tax deductible.
